FOX BUSINESS NETWORK’S VARNEY & CO. CONTINUES TO PLACE AMONG TOP RATED BUSINESS PROGRAMS ON TELEVISION
FBN Delivers Five of the Leading 15 Business News Shows During Month of April
FOX Business Network’s (FBN) three-hour market open program Varney & Co. (weekdays 9 AM-12 PM/ET) once again placed among the leading business programs on television, according to Nielsen Media Research. The network also delivered five of the top 15 shows in business news.
Leading the month of April as FBN’s highest-rated program, Varney & Co., helmed by Stuart Varney delivered 240,000 total viewers, making it one of the top seven programs in business television. The signature market-open show outperformed CNBC’s newly launched TechCheck at 11AM/ET for the April 12th debut week, drawing in 261,000 total viewers, earning a 5 percent advantage over CNBC’s 249,000. FBN’s Kudlow with host Larry Kudlow (weekdays 4PM/ET), CAVUTO: Coast to Coast with Neil Cavuto (weekdays 12-2 PM/ET), Making Money with Charles Payne (weekdays 2PM/ET), and The Evening Edit with Elizabeth MacDonald (weekdays 6PM/ET) all joined Varney among the top 15 shows on business television with total viewers.
Rounding out the month, FBN’s Business Day programming (9:30 AM-5 PM/ET) drew in 178,000 total viewers and 18,000 viewers in the 25-54 demo, while the network’s Market Hours programming (9 AM-4 PM/ET) netted 181,000 total viewers and 19,000 viewers in the A25-54 demo.
Month over month, Mornings with Maria (weekdays 6-9AM/ET), Cavuto Coast to Coast, Kennedy and Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street (Friday 9PM/ET) all delivered gains in total viewers compared to March.
Notably, FBN ended April netting four of the top 10 shows with affluent A25-54 audiences year to date. Led by The Claman Countdown as number one in all of cable news, Making Money with Charles Payne, CAVUTO: Coast to Coast, and Kennedy (Monday-Thursday 8PM/ET), all earned placements among the most affluent audiences in cable news.
