“Kudlow” Closes Out July Outpacing CNBC’s “Closing Bell” in Total Viewers for First Time Since Launch

NEW YORK – July 27, 2021 – FOX Business Network’s (FBN) Varney & Co. (weekdays 9 AM – 12 PM/ET) and Kudlow (weekdays 4 PM/ET) ended the month of July as two of the top 10 rated shows in business news, according to Nielsen Media Research. Additionally, Kudlow closed out the month marking its first weekly win over CNBC’s Closing Bell (4 PM/ET) with 211,000 total viewers to CNBC’s 201,000, a 5 percent advantage for the hour.

Hosted by Stuart Varney, FBN’s three hour market-open program Varney & Co. delivered 205,000 total viewers, while Larry Kudlow’s eponymous Kudlow averaged 180,000 viewers, marking the two top rated programs for the network in July. Additionally, The Claman Countdown (weekdays 3 PM/ET), The Evening Edit with Elizabeth MacDonald (weekdays 6 PM/ET) and Making Money with Charles Payne (weekdays 2 PM/ET) all ended the month among the top 15 shows in business news.

FBN nabbed six out of the top 20 shows with median income in the 25-54 demo in all of cable news this year (2021td). Kennedy (Monday through Thursday, 8 PM/ET), Making Money with Charles Payne, The Claman Countdown, CAVUTO: Coast to Coast (weekdays 12-2 PM/ET), FOX Business Tonight (weekdays 5 PM/ET) and Kudlow rounded out the top 20, all delivering an audience with an income of $115,000 or higher.
